All Black Everything…For Stylish Black Moms!

A few years ago I had, what I thought was a brilliant idea to start a website to discuss pregnancy, motherhood, beauty, style and all things fabulous- but from a black woman’s perspective. There was nothing wrong with what was out there but I didn’t feel these publications spoke to me. I wanted to see the celebrity women I favored, I wanted to see children in ads, that were in the likeness of my children. The idea was good. Well at least a few people thought so because we started Sunkissed Mommy-an online lifestyle community that caters to all women of color that are mothers. It’s going well over there but I still felt a huge connection to the Mom Noir brand. A decision had to be made as to what to do with it. I blog HERE, about my family life and I write for SKM. So I decided to still blog here and be the voice of fabulousness for us black mothers.

So in order to understand the brains behind the brilliance, it is important that you know the following little tid bits about me:

• My opinion is not merely an opinion. It is fact (at least on this space on the web it is)
• I like to gamble, Caribbean Stud Poker & Blackjack are my favorite games.
• I have been known to blow the mortgage on a table in Atlantic City, a haute bag or a nice ass pair of shoes.
• I am a master procrastinator-which is why the launch took so long.
• I curse. I don’t curse on the family blog because the entire family reads it, even down to the little nieces. They don’t know about this blog so it’s cool.
• I couldn’t curse when I was younger so I make it a habit to curse (loudly) daily to remind myself that I am now a grown ass woman.
• Some of the things you will read on here, may make you say “She can’t be serious..” Please believe, I am.
• Life is way too short for me to not have fun and since I do not know when I will checkout, I am doing everything I want to, NOW. (regardless of the price tag)
• I like bullets, (real ones like you see in pearl handle 22’s) and the ones that I am using all over this page.

The goal is to get you to come back; no gimmicks, no tricks. If you like what I have to say, leave a comment and add me to your daily reads. I really do believe it may help someone or at the least entertain them. I am not lost and therefore I don’t need to be discovered. Everything I want is easily accomplished if I claim it.
