Everything I Love Ends Up Discontinued
It’s almost like companies get a bat signal or something when I love a product and say “let’s kill it”. I had a major thing for Ocean Spray’s Cran-Mango, like seriously, I swear I got high off of it. It was amazing! Next thing you know, I’m strolling the juice aisle and the shit is missing. I looked near the Juicy Juice thinking somebody screwed up. I turned to the web and my worst nightmare was coming true. They discontinued it.
Fast forward to last week when I went on a desperate search for Glade Glass Scents. They’re cute, decorative and the Clean Linen smells decadent. Why can’t I find them? Surely, there must be a delay in production similar to what Eggo went through when I couldn’t buy any damn waffles-right? Wrong!!!!! From the SC Johnson site:
” Glade® Glass Scents® were discontinued in July 2009 but you may still be able to find a few on shelves at your local retailer. The product is also available through SC Johnson Mail Order in Clean Linen, Hawaiian Breeze and Apple Cinnamon scents. You can call our Consumer Relationship Center at 1-800-558-5252 for more information. ”
I never even read past the first line. I just felt everything around me collapse. (I know I’m being dramatic but this is serious) After Kim pointed out that you could still order them (if only I had kept reading) my spirits lifted. So I called and placed my order, as I’m on the line, the rep is explaining that I could even get this by the case. OH HAPPY DAY! In that case, (the pun is cute) I’ll take two cases of linen and a case of the other two! Wait for it…..”ma’am we’re all out of the Clean Linen but there’s plenty of Apple Cinnamon and Hawaiian Breeze.”
