P’kolino Reversible Chalk Table
I swear, I have been meaning to get a table for the kids to eat at because every time they eat at the “big table” I have to hose it down when they are done. They really do need their own space. Rice grains are everywhere, applesauce gets caught between the wood and the glass top-it’s a disaster. Even if you turn the other cheek on the food issue, my table also doubles as the arts & crafts table on Saturdays and Sundays. Where do you think has marker and chalk on it when crafts are done? Not a good look. I found this baby on Amazon. Isn’t it lovely. Two benches come with it, the table top is reversible so we’ll go from dinner to crafts in a jiffy! I can fit this right between the kitchen and the dining room so the kids will still be “with” us when they eat and now they can get into the habit of cleaning up for themselves. Here’s some more detail to the table:
Kayden starts school this September and lately he has been asking to help set the table for dinner. With his new seating arrangement, he can get the table ready for himself and Kennedy now. I’m sure he’ll love it. At school, they have a daily community lunch and the pre-schoolers have different tasks, like setting up, clearing and bringing certain foods to the table. He’s getting a head start right at home.
