A Different Type of Vision Board

Every year I say I’m going to work on a vision board. Every year I don’t follow through. Who’s surprised? Well wouldn’t you know…I have a vision board. I didn’t even realize I had one. I was sitting in the office the other night and glanced over and there it was:

The Vision Board That Runs My Life

It’s not quite what you would classify as a vision board but let me show you how I use it. I put everything that is going on in with either the house or with me within the next 2 weeks up here so that I keep track of planning. Right now I just have a few items I need to get for the Pre-K potluck, (plucked right out of the catalog) and a few bills that need to be paid. My brain is so frazled that I have to set reminders in my calendar to review the vision board. All bills that are due also have a separate calendar entry so they get paid. The board is multi-functional too! I zoomed in on it’s other purpose:

My own personal stylist! When I see clothes or items I must have, I rip them out and post them up. I then put together my outfits based on the images and pull it down once I’ve worn it. The image to the left is a Tory Burch ensemble and I just love the vest look on top of flared jeans on the image to the right. This is how I stay focused man! :) Can you spot the haircut I want to get this summer? Stay tuned!

How do you keep track of your wish list, bills and staying organized. I would love to hear your tips!

Oh Gee! I understand the whole “wanting a vision board but not having it” syndrome. I worked with clips from some of my O Magazines from last year for some beadwork I was keen on then I needed the tack that was holding the bundle to the board and never actually put the pictures back (which eventually ended up in my recycle pile). Sigh. I don’t have tips right now and my landlord will probably ask for $1,500 to repair the holes in his wall from all the pictures.
