Love & Hip-Hop: The Recap
Do we all like this show? I find it very entertaining and even though there’s tons of drama, I think the ladies are so cute! Emily’s body is fierce and Chrissy’s hair and clothes game is always on point. So because I know soooo many of you watch it, I thought it would be fun if we start recapping the episodes here. If this goes well (read: if I can stick to it) I might just start recapping all my favorite shows. I am aiming for recaps the night of but if I don’t get a chance to (like this recap) I will just highlight the big stuff.
So let’s go. Why can’t anyone put Mama Jones in her place? For starters, if anyone’s mother is looking for respect, I’m going to request that they dress and carry themselves in a manner that commands respect. For the love of jean panties!! What did shorty have on? And all the wining and carrying on while she was recording her “song”-please chick, I don’t see any respect coming your way at all. And this just came to me, remember when Olivia called to tell Chrissy to log on to check out the track, I don’t know about y’all but do you answer the phone in front your man on speaker? What if she was about to hit you with some real exclusive shit? It’s not just something for my man not to hear, but my girls are liable to spit anything out their mouth so I don’t pick up the phone for anyone on speaker. Completely irrelevant but a very necessary point.
Did Chrissy just replace this dudes engagement ring? I’m not feeling that move love. At all. He didn’t even look like he wanted to be there. I didn’t support Chrissy asking Jim to marry her but it’s done. Her replacing the “lost” ring just brought back bad memories about the engagement. I would’ve felt better if they would have let the viewers know how much jewelry Jim loses on average a year. I’m guessing none.
Moving on, we find ourselves introduced to two thirsty chicks. Kimbella and Yandy. My blood didn’t take either of these broads from the jump. At first I was baffled at how it was possible that Chrissy never met Kimbella and their men run in the same circle but then I remembered that Kimbella is just a baby mother…and then it all makes sense.
Can you recognize thirsty chicks? They come to events in jean panties, just an FYI. I nearly died when Chrissy said this. It was just right on time! But, in all fairness….does anyone recall seeing Chrissy’s shorts? Jean panties might have been the flavor of the night. Chrissy started going in as soon as she saw Kimbella which made me think Chrissy had underlying beef from a previous encounter. I haven’t abandoned this theory but let’s watch what happens.
I get that reality TV is mostly about staging events but I don’t know how much more of the fake ass wine shopping trips (dressed to the nines) I can take. Did Emily even buy anything from there? Anyhoo, I’m glad to see that she’s finally stepping off and creating some distance from Fab. I don’t make it a habit to suggest chicks leave their men….especially when I can’t give you what they can. But enough is enough. I wouldn’t want to see any of my girls get hurt by their men and when I’ve had enough I’m liable to go off and share my opinion on the matter.
If I invite you to my independence party at a nice suite that I rented for the occasion, chances are you are my close friend. If you decide to bring a friend of yours who turns out to have slept with my man while I was pregnant with our son-even writing this it sounds ridiculous. This scene was wrong on so many levels. Don’t bring a plus one to my event where I’m celebrating a milestone thats emotional and personal on all levels. Yandy knew what Kimbella was coming with and for that reason alone, she shouldn’t have brought her. I get Chrissy defending Emily. I really do but do I think Kimbella deserved the beat down….no I don’t. In fact, I think she stole Kimbella which doesn’t really go well with my “I Love Chrissy” campaign. Right before the fight, Chrissy warned Yandy that the two of them would have to leave if Yandy didn’t get Kimbella. I honestly think that’s what Chrissy should’ve done. I could see myself getting as hype as Chrissy but in retrospect, I would’ve loved to see her put those two chicks out-and it would’ve been a boss move because it wasn’t even her event!
Needless to say, I’m hooked again and can’t wait for the rest of the season! What are your thoughts on the show? Did Kimbella get sucker punched?
