The High Cost of Travel

I thought it would be easy to pick a destination and head off for our Spring Break trip. I must have forgotten that the world and their mother will be on holiday as well. Currently, Atlantis’ properties are sold out for our trip to the Bahamas. You know that feeling when your heart is set on something and nothing can change it? That’s where I am right now. I mean, I cannot stop checking out the possibilities here. Noticed, I took you to The Cove. Even if we make it to the Bahamas, we can’t stay at The Cove. The hubby and I can stay at The Cove but with our entourage (that’s what I call the kids), no chance.

I will keep checking and updating. Right now my attention has shifted slightly to Puerto Rico again. I love this property. I am not a big fan of hotels as we normally stay at a Time Share when we travel but we didn’t buy in the Bahamas. :( (or Puerto Rico) If all else fails, hubster has suggested we go to Virginia Beach. I want to throw myself off the curb. I could be selfish and book myself at the Cove and let them go to Virginia Beach…hmmmm.

I saw this commercial the other day and it resonated heavily with me because it costs so much to travel now. I am determined to take at least 5 trips a year so it is ridiculous the amount of things I have to cut back on to be able to see the world. Between the cost of airfare and the accessorial charges like baggage and the charge to handle the baggage (note to self, the bag is not just going to load itself on the plane), it’s no wonder I am trying to pass the 6 year old off as an infant and have him sit on my lap. (I kid-lol, but I might just try it)

Check out this commercial and let me know if it has you cracking up like it does me. Boost Mobile ‘Pet Carrier’

LOL! That commercial was funny. But, it is true. I always seem to pack everything I can in one bag if possible. LOL! Everything seems to be so expensive. Don't discuss the seats. I wish I could pass my 11 yr old off as a baby. LOL!
