What Type of Spa Treatment Are You?
So it’s March. I have to pick a treatment this week to satisfy this month’s refresh and renew campaign. You know how I’ve said in the past that I keep going back to hot rock massages, it got me to wondering, could it be that my spa personality leads me to hot rock massages? I’ve done a bit of research and it seems that out of the three factors that come into play when thinking of an ideal spa experience-where you are physically, emotionally, and spiritually in your life journey; the terrain and ambiance you are attracted to; and your physical body type-the first almost always changes. But while what’s happening in your life this morning may dictate the treatment you want this afternoon, your underlying personality and body type indicate the type of place and treatment you’ll return to time and again. That explains it!
Here are the three types of spa personalities.
Ectomorph-You are idealistic and dreamy, yet tend to over-think and over-analyze situations. Yoga grounds you, as do cleansing/detox rituals and sojourns to the sea.
Endomorph- You like to be pampered and pampered some more. For you, fine food and wine go hand in hand with luxurious spa treatments and facials. You like to cocoon in warm mud wraps and would gladly spend hours soaking in a sweet-scented bath.
Mesomorph- You want results and you want them now. Your ideal spa experience combines hard-core physical activity-major hiking, boot camp-with deep tissue massage, a vigorous scrub, or shiatsu. No pain, no gain is your motto.
I am somewhere between an ectomorph and an endomorph. What about you? If you were a spa treatment, what would you be?
